Appropriate album name, ironic artist name at least with regards to his facial hair. Great to see you got a start to Movember! Sounds like Lynott will be getting some moustache love this month…. I forgot about Phil — Live And Dangerous has just worked its way into the Movember playlist, thanks for the idea! No problem! Appropriate song selection for Prostate Cancer Awareness month as well — love those guitarmonies! So good! Funny thing about him is that he really had a great voice that was always buried deep behind the piano on all his recordings.
And the recording quality on the version I listened to was not very good Blueberry Hill was particularly crackly — but fine performances! You are commenting using your WordPress. Verified Purchase. This kills me to give just one star. I totally agree with the other two reviewers here. This is a shame that this cd isn't remastered, its a smack in the face to Fats Domino to see his work be treated so poorly. The sound is just wicked sounds like his singing from the bottom of a well and what's worst is it sounds like its playing to slow.
I have one other Fats Domino cd its a best of collection and contains some of the songs on this cd. The differents with how the songs sound is shocking. Why is this living legend of rock n roll been treated so badly? This would b an amazing cd if the sound was better and if it played at the right speed. Great music. One person found this helpful. Do not buy this CD! The cover proclaims "Original Recording" and it certainly is recorded from a year old vphonograph record.
The CD contains countless pops, scratches and other vinyl artifacts that should never be heard on a CD. Listen to the sample of "You Done Me Wrong" to get an example of the sound quality. See all reviews.

His million-selling debut single, "The Fat Man" , is one of many that have been cited as the first rock and roll record. Warm and unthreatening even by the intensely congenial standards of New Orleans, he's remembered with fond condescension as significantly less innovative than his uncommercial compatriots Professor Longhair and James Booker. But though his bouncy boogie-woogie piano and easy Creole gait were generically Ninth Ward, they defined a pop-friendly second-line beat that nobody knew was there before he and Dave Bartholomew created 'The Fat Man' in In short, this shy, deferential, uncharismatic man invented New Orleans rock and roll.
Domino's rhythm, accentuating the offbeat , as in the song "Be My Guest", was an influence on ska music. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. New Orleans , Louisiana , U. Harvey, Louisiana , U. Rosemary Hall.
