First there was the LP with the famous round cover that unfolded into a pop art extravaganza. Then there was an 8 track tape which my friends and I listened to while riding around in an old Studebaker Champion. Then came the cassette version and finally the CD. My first CD was the original Castle release which was not sonically ideal but hey I knew the songs so well that it didn't matter but the time has come for an upgrade and so I purchased this.

There are many different versions out there but this one will serve my needs. I didn't need the 3 disc set as all I wanted was the original album. In the same way as their contemporaries, the Zombies with Odessey and Oracle , their masterpiece was their swansong and like that album it remains a pinnacle of British 60s pop.
