Kids were protesting the difference in their new way of life Making Pease Not War. The Difference in the Music. I could go on and on. The liner notes on the original 3-record release discussed the magnitude of the challenge this album presented, considering the hours of music that had to be distilled down to just three vinyl records.
It acknowledged possible flaws and stated, "consider these flaws like the scars in fine leather: proof of its authenticity". While clearly inauthentic, that was what I got in , and that was what I was looking for on this CD. I didn't want a remastered version that didn't have the same versions I got in This is an authentic replication of the masterpiece I was seeking. That's exactly what I wanted. How can this not be five stars?
It's not bull island but they do share the same mud. Hippies, bad acid, volkswagons, more hippies, hippies under blankets, hippies under one another what's not to like? Not as good as I remembered it. I didnt remember the title saying and more so I thought there may be additions to the original here but that was not the case.
I am replacing all my old music with digital format and my collection would not be complete without Woodstock. Speaking of switching to mp3 formats,,, I bought a digital turntable. It was a real pain in the ass. I sent it back. The sound quality was bad, there was no indexing of albums and songs, it was just not worth my time compared to just paying for the music again and getting superior sound quality, superior browsing ability in my music library, etc.
A higher quality digital turntable might have given better performance, but still, by the time you pay for a good one you could get ten to twenty albums online, mabey more, and you get the music quick, easy, and higher quality than you'd ever get by transfering vinyl to mps.
Music from the Original Soundtrack and More: Woodstock. I have listened to it and love most of the music. The description of the Soundtrack and More of Woodstock does mention that the crowd sounds of people clapping, singing, and enjoying the music does take away from the music itself.
It is harder to "sing along" when the crowd is singing along on the CD. The music does bring back memories. I am not sure I recommend this CD because of the crowd noises. But as long as a person is aware and doesn't mind the added distraction of the crowd sounds then it would be a great CD. I certainly like the songs. I cannot listen to these performances without picturing them from the Award-winning documentary! I found the sound quality to be excellent considering the performances are live.
The memories from that era Sadly, I wasn't there! If you love live classic rock performances from the 60's and 70's, You will love this! I say , if I hadn't been on the other side of the world, I would have been there. When I saw that the Woodstock soundtrack was going to be remastered and reissued along with the new DVD set I was hoping that the previous edits of certain songs would be done away with finally. I got my set just this last week and cued up Santana's "Soul Sacrifice.
BUT, as I listened to the 2-CD set in it's entirety, sounding clear and better than ever I might add, my initial disappointment with the edits soon disappeared. Thank you Rhino for leaving it the way it was. And yes, the tracks are remixed and remastered from the original 8-track master tapes so they will appear in their unedited form.
BUT, one problem. However, we will all be treated to Canned Heat's full length "Woodstock Boogie," all 30 minutes of it! And lots and lots of previously unreleased performances from the festival's lesser known acts like Bert Sommer, Quill, and Incredible String Band.
See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. I bought this to replace a long unused vinyl record set. The sound quality has obviously been improved and I am loving the trip down memory lane.
Sounds too clean to make me feel warm and fuzzy One person found this helpful. Wanted a CD of the concert for years and have been waiting for a bargain priced products. This fits the bill perfectly. Had this set of albums on plastic back in the 70s but wore them out. The quality of the recordings are excellent given it was put down in ,.
The music is fine but because it is a live recording there is the chat in between. Report abuse. Library and Archives Canada. Retrieved September 9, Dutch Charts in Dutch. Hung Medien. Retrieved July 14, Norwegian Charts. The Complete Book of the British Charts.

There also were kids protesting the war by dodging the draft by running to Canada. Moreover, then they were pardoned later on. There was also a big generation gap going on.
